Alyson Iwamoto is a native Los Angeles ceramic artist. Both her Japanese heritage and L.A. roots deeply influence her work. She has worked in clay for 20 years with a degree in ceramics from Cal State University Long Beach.
For nearly a decade, Alyson was a ceramics instructor to children at Inner-City Arts, a non-profit organization located in skid row, California. That is where she learned the meaning of humanity and the potential of imagination.
Alyson enjoys exploring the world with her daughter who inspires her daily. Whenever she's not chasing after her little one she is focused on the philosophy of wabi sabi and discovering the infinite possibility in a stamp-size square of space.
